Spiritual Attacks are perhaps the most difficult to contend with. Whether you believe it or not, there are many Jedi which believe they can come under spiritual attack- and some that feel they are consistently under such attacks.

Several traditions around the world seek emotional healing in order to combat these forms of attack.

In the Hawaiian Tradition, it was to seek reconciliation either with the deity they offended or with the person that was angry at them (sometimes it was warranted anger, and sometimes it was just plain jealousy). By making it a communal and/or family affair, the support network around the victim were able to demonstrate that they had their backs, and this helped a great deal in providing a barrier against the spiritual attacks of man or deity.

In Christian traditions, it is to seek forgiveness from God. There was rarely the belief that the attack came from a human being.

In Igbo tradition, it was to reconcile with one’s Chi (not to be confused with the idea of Chinese “Chi”, Igbo “Chi” referred to a personal deity) and realign with the purpose they had agreed to before birth (a sort of contract between Chukwu and an individual human). They seek to bring a person into acceptance of Chukwu’s plan for their life, rather than the one they wish to seek.

These all point to a lost truth- spiritual fortification begins with emotional stability and acceptance. In modern times, we have therapists which are highly trained to help people reach this emotional stability, even though it often takes a great deal of time to work through trauma in our past or in our current world view.

While it is recommended that people with more difficult cases seek out a professional, the Jedi Path can offer at least one tool that may be able to assist a person in building upon their emotional stability. The Original Jedi Code.

For your assignment, explain how someone (you or someone you are seeking to assist) may be able to use to the Jedi Code to reach a place of acceptance and reconciliation with someone (or some entity) that you feel is attacking you spiritually.  Your answer must be a minimum of 150 words.

There is no emotion, there is peace.
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
There is no chaos, there is harmony.

There is no death, there is the Force.

You may also use the “Yet” version of the code if it helps more than the “there is no”:

Emotion, yet peace.
Ignorance, yet knowledge.
Passion, yet serenity.
Chaos, yet harmony.
Death, yet the Force.
